In 1941 Photographer Harvey Slade opened a Portrait Studio and Camera store. Harvey Slade's historic collection of photos can be viewed at the Florida State Library.
In 1948 Mrs. Lavern Mohr purchased the Camera portion of Harvey's business. Slade's Camera Center became Tallahassee Camera Center. Mrs. Mohr, and subsequently her son Charles, ran the business until 1987.
Until 2/01/09 Mike Fraser operated Tallahassee Camera and Image Center. Since it's humble beginnings Tallahassee Camera has expanded to include Custom Framing, Photofinishing, Video Transfer and Duplication, and Audio Visual, in addition to Photo Products.
In Feb. 2009 a decision was made to split Tallahassee Camera and Image Center into 2 separate entities. Tallahassee Photo under Brendan Fraser concentrates on Photo Printing, Video Transfer and Custom Framing.
Our Audio Visual operates as Tallahassee Audio Visual at 2880 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL 32301 850-877-1153, TAV is Managed by Michael Fraser. Services include Audio Visual System Integration, Digital Signage, and Home Theater Installation.
